Today at the iHollywood Digital Living Room conference, Sony said it will release software that will let the Playstation Portable (PSP) link to Macs and PCs within the next year.

The Iconfactory has posted this week's freeware icon release--"iPod, Therefore I Am" from Dave Brasgalla. "This set of 8 freeware icons will let you give your iPod the icon it deserves in popular World of Aqua style, and it won't even cost you .99 cents!" The collection--which includes the 4G iPod, the special edition U2 iPod, the new iPod minis, the iPod shuffle, and the iPod photo--is available for your Mac, Windows PC or as a Pixadex iContainer.

Testing Apple today released iMovie HD 5.0.1, an update to its popular consumer video editing application. iMovie HD, which was announced earlier this month at Macworld Expo, allows users to capture and edit High Definition Video (HDV) from the new generation of HDV camcorders. According to the release notes, the 2.4MB update addresses issues related to video and audio synchronization for DV projects and other minor issues. The iMovie update is available via the Mac OS X Software Update preference pane.
